3 Amazing Vegan Diet To Fight Obesity

Obesity is one of the most common health problems. It is a condition wherein an individual has excessive fat accumulation in the body. Heart problems and cancer are two of the major health problems associated with obesity.

The primary cause of this condition is eating too much more than a person can actually spend. The key is to balance the calories you intake with the ones you lose. Vegan Tofu and Vegetable Pot Pie

Vegan Tofu

For the crust:

• One cup of all purpose flour

• One butter stick

• One half cup of cold water

For the filling,

• One cup of firm tofu

• Three tablespoons of olive oil

• One small onion

• One stick of celery

• One carrot

• Three cloves of garlic

• One potato

• One fourth cup of all purpose flour

• Two teaspoons of nutritional yeast

• Two tablespoons of soy sauce

• One and a half vegetable broth

• One teaspoon of parsley

• One teaspoon of finely chopped sage

• One teaspoon of thyme leaves

• Salt

• Pepper

What you need to do:
For the crust,

Have the ingredients chilled or frozen. Place the flour in a bowl and let it chill for at least one hour. It is also ideal to place your tools inside the freezer. Cut the butter to smaller cubes. Mix it with the flour using your hands. Put some cold water in the bowl, mix using fork until you form a dough. Shape it into a ball and flatten to a disk.
In a flat surface, spread some flour and roll it out evenly. Place some in ramekin containers. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Put the vegetables in the middle. Divide evenly. Place dough over each ramekin. Make a thicker crust by tucking the sides under. Remove excess. Place a slit in the middle. Bake for thirty minutes. Serve and enjoy!

A Different Taste: Avocado Carbonara

• A medium sized ripe Avocado

• A half cup of lemon juice

• Three cloves of garlic

• A pinch of salt

• One fourth cup of parsley

• One fourth cup of basil

• Two tablespoons of olive oil

• One third of crushed almonds

• Ground pepper

• Pasta

What you need to do:

Cook the pasta first in a pot with water and some salt. Make the sauce by adding lemon juice in with some garlic and olive oil in a food processor or blender. Blend well until smooth.
Add the avocado, parsley and basil. Process until smooth. Wait for it to get creamy. Place the sauce with the pasta and then, garnish with pepper and almonds.
Serve and enjoy!

Vegan Lentil Soup

• Canola Oil

• Pita bread

• A large onion

• One teaspoon curry powder

• One half teaspoon of cumin

• One cup of lentils

• One tomato

• One carrot

• Four cups of vegetable stocks

• One tablespoon of cilantro

What to do:

Use some pita bread and brush some oil, Cut into tiny strips. Spread it on a baking sheet. Bake at 350 F for ten minutes. Wait for it to turn golden. Set aside.

In a large pan, heat some oil ad cook the onion for five minutes. Place some curry powder and cumin. Cook for additional minute or two. Add the lentils, tomato, carrots and the four cups of vegetable stock. Let it boil for thirty minutes. Add some salt and pepper. Remove the lentil from the heat.

After a while, blend using a blender. Puree in batches. Serve and top off with crispy pita strips.
