Vitamin B3, or Niacin, helps in normal production of the thyroid hormone. It is also part of the Glucose Tolerance Factor, which is released whenever blood sugar rises and hence, assists in burning fat and carbohydrates. Brown rice, cheese, salmon, oats, eggs, chicken and meat are rich sources of this vitamin.

Deficiency of Vitamin B5 (Pantothetic Acid) reduces our capacity to utilize the fat in the body. Hence, this vitamin produces energy and helps in adrenal function. It is found in green leafy vegetables, poultry products, nuts, barley, beans and meat.

Pyridoxine, or Vitamin B6, regulates the proper production of the thyroid hormones and also takes care of the metabolism of the body. Rich sources of this vitamin are brewer’s yeast, oats, avocado, cabbage, eggs and beef.

Choline is a water soluble nutrient and belongs to the family of Vitamin B. since it is made in the liver, its deficiency causes fat to get trapped in the liver. It also helps the body create neurotransmitters. Consumption of egg yolks, cauliflower, cucumber and peanuts will help the body get choline.

Apart from the B Vitamins, Vitamin C provides a range of benefits to the health of a person. It triggers proper conversion of glucose to energy in the cells. Lemons, oranges, strawberries, broccoli, kiwi and cabbage are fantastic sources of Vitamin C.

Consumption of these vitamins for weight loss does not imply that you will lose weight overnight. A combination of a healthy diet and proper exercise routine will enable you to lose weight.
